vaginal health

say goodbye to vaginal fatigue

The shyness around vaginal health often leaves patients struggling with symptoms they’re too embarrassed to talk about.

Let's talk feminine health. As women age, give birth, gain weight, or experience hormonal changes, their vaginal health changes. For some women, this change isn't an issue. For others, their quality of life is interrupted by unwanted leakage, dryness or irritation, and vaginal relaxation. Dr. Ron Brown defines vaginal fatigue as any disorder of function of the bladder or vagina. This can include unwanted bladder leakage, bladder urgency, vaginal dryness, vaginal looseness or relaxation, and Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause. Luckily, there are now a variety of non-invasive treatments that can help restore your quality of life.

treatment options

monalisa touch

  • The MonaLisa Touch was designed to treat the painful symptoms that affect post-menopausal woman and restore normal vaginal lubrication.

Living in pain is not fun — when this pain gets in the way of intimacy and makes you more susceptible to urinary problems it can be extremely frustrating. During treatment, a vaginal probe is used to deliver gentle, fractional CO2 laser energy to the vaginal wall. The energy from the laser targets the vaginal wall and painlessly reactivates the proper functions of the urinary and reproductive systems by triggering the production of new collagen. The laser used is gentle but effective. This non-surgical procedure requires no anesthesia and can provide relief after just one treatment.

  • Those experiencing vaginal discomfort, pain during intercourse, frequent UTIs, and/or unwanted leakage.

  • MonaLisa Touch laser treatment is a simple procedure that can deliver both immediate and lasting relief and is clinically proven to work. The procedure will seem like your annual exam and likely be even quicker. A healthcare provider will insert a wand will be placed into the vaginal canal during the treatment. A “snapping” sound will be heard and you may feel mild vaginal heat. The treatment will last around 15 minutes.

The MTL delivers gentle laser energy to the vaginal wall tissue that stimulates a healing response and enhances moisture levels in the vaginal canal, with minimal discomfort.

Advantages include being in-office, no anesthesia, no downtime, symptom relief after one minute and takes less than 5 minutes. A typical course of treatment is 3 procedures over 18 weeks.

btl emsella

  • Let’s start with the obvious: a leaky bladder is both uncomfortable and inconvenient. Urinary incontinence is much more common than you think, but luckily the BTL Emsella is a comfortable, non-invasive solution. Modelled after a chair, this treatment allows you to remain fully clothed so you can be as comfortable as possible.

The BTL Emsella treats the entire pelvic floor as it stimulates 11,800 kegals in 28 minutes. The emsella treats incontinence and reduces vaginal laxity, while allowing patients to feel comfortable. A recent clinical study found that 95% of patients who underwent all six treatments reported improvement in their quality of life.

  • Those seeking to reduce vaginal laxity while treating incontinence.

Due to the physics of electromagnetic currents, hip and pelvic metal can be affected. Individuals with pelvic (low back rods) and hip (replacement) metal can not have these treatments. A history of a tubal ligation with clips or traditional pelvic surgery does not prevent the use of this technology.

  • The BTL Emsella was designed to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. You remain fully clothed and sit down in the BTL Emsella Chair as the pelvic floor is stimulated. During the treatment you can expect to feel a warm, tingling sensation along with vibrations.

Treatment involves 6 sessions that each last 30 minutes. We suggest 3 treatments a week for 2 weeks or 2 treatments a week for 3 weeks. Treatments last at least one year and can be repeated when necessary.

The BTL Emsella uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic technology to stimulate all parts of the pelvic floor – in 28 minutes the pelvic floor muscles will contract over 11,800 times. These contractions create hyperplasia and hypertrophy in the muscles, but just as importantly it re-establishes the neural connections for firing the pelvic floor muscle group, re-educating patients on how to selectively contract the pelvic floor muscles. Meanwhile, the magnetic energy also appears to provide therapy to other neurons that may be causing urgency incontinence or overactive bladder.
